Dr. Osmanovic was born in Bosnia-Herzegovina and came to the United States in 1985 with his wife and children. Before coming to the USA he attended Belgrade University Medical School and Postgraduate School graduating with honors at the top of his class.He was an Associate Professor in the Department of Patho-Physiology at Belgrade University Medical School. He was awarded the prestigious Fulbright Fellowship for the research in neurosciences performed at Department of Physiology and Biophysics, College of Medicine, University of Illinois at Chicago. He finished his internship in Internal Medicine at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago and completed his residency in Ophthalmology at the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary, University of Illinois at Chicago.He also attended the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary to receive his fellowship in glaucoma and was formerly a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology there. He specializes in Glaucoma, Cataract Surgery, and External Eye Diseases and is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Illinois Association of Ophthalmology. He was honored in Strathmore’s Who’s Who for demonstrating leadership and achievement in the field of ophthalmology.

A native of the Chicago area, Dr. Senad Osmanovic joined Arlington Eye Physicians in 2016 following his surgical retina fellowship training at University of California Davis in Sacramento, CA. He is a specialist in retinal diseases of the eye and a recognized expert in vitreoretinal surgery. He sees patients with a variety of retinal disorders, including age related macular degeneration (AMD), diabetic retinopathy and retinal detachments. He was raised in Oak Park, IL and attended the University of Chicago for his undergraduate education. He obtained his medical degree from Northwestern University, where he was inducted into AOA Honor society. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary, where he received several achievement and research awards. Dr. Osmanovic has been involved in many clinical trials investigating treatments for AMD, diabetic retinopathy and other retinal disorders, and is a frequent speaker and lecturer at international conferences. His research has been published in numerous peer-reviewed medical journals and he has authored several book chapters. In addition to being board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, he is an active member of multiple professional societies including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and relaxing with his wife and two sons. He loves the outdoors, cycling and rooting for the Bears and Bulls.

Dr. Mark Dikopf was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs and graduated with honors from the combined undergraduate and medical school program through the University of Illinois College of Medicine. He completed his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary, where he was selected as chief resident in his final year of training. He developed a passion for glaucoma during residency and subsequently completed a glaucoma fellowship at the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary.
Dr. Dikopf has been active in ophthalmologic research during his career and has published many peer-reviewed articles, as well as presented research at national conferences. He also holds the title of clinical instructor at both University of Illinois at Chicago and Chicago Medical School. Dr. Dikopf is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Glaucoma Society, Chicago Ophthalmologic Society, Chicago Glaucoma Society, and Illinois Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons.
Dr. Dikopf performs medical and surgical glaucoma care, routine eye exams and cataract surgery, including the use of femtosecond laser and advanced intraocular lens technologies. He also performs various minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries at the same time as cataract surgery. Dr. Dikopf aims to provide optimal care by making an individualized treatment plan based a patient’s general health and lifestyle. Most importantly, he values getting to know each of his patients, educating them on their eye conditions, and treating them with the utmost respect and care.
In his spare time Dr. Dikopf enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, being outdoors, playing pickleball and traveling.

Born and raised in Glenview, Dr. Raman A. Michael earned his undergraduate degree in Economics with honors at Northwestern University and completed medical school at the University of Illinois College of Medicine. After completing his ophthalmology residency at the University of Florida, during which he served as chief resident, and his glaucoma fellowship at the Dean McGee Eye Institute, Dr. Michael looks forward to applying a wide variety of clinical and surgical techniques taught to him by nationally renowned mentors to his hometown patients in the Chicago suburbs. Dr. Michael performs routine and complex cataract surgery using standard and advanced-technology intraocular lenses; various types of minimally invasive glaucoma surgery; and more invasive “filtering surgery” for severe uncontrolled glaucoma. He also performs comprehensive eye exams. He has an extensive teaching background, including as a peer tutor in medical school, and he carries this passion into the clinic by educating his patients on all of their potential treatment options in an era of rapidly advancing medical and surgical technology. Dr. Michael’s ophthalmologic research has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national conferences. Outside of work, he loves spending time with his family, playing tennis and chess, and studying theology.

Dr. Deana LaBrosse is a native of Green Bay, Wisconsin. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. After graduating, she worked in the field of environmental chemistry before continuing optometric studies at the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. Dr. LaBrosse also received special recognition for her work in contact lenses and low vision. Dr. LaBrosse has served as the Public Health Trustee for the Illinois Optometric Association and as an examiner for the National Board of Optometry. She has also been a clinical preceptor at the Illinois College of Optometry. She was named “Young Optometrist of the Year” by the Illinois Optometric Association in 2008. She maintains active affiliations with the American Optometric Association, Illinois Optometric Association and the Ocular Wellness & Nutrition Society. Dr. LaBrosse provides comprehensive eye care with an emphasis on dry eye disease and specialty contact lenses. She is currently completing course work with the Institute of Functional Medicine to offer a whole body integrative approach to ocular disease treatment. In her spare time, Dr. LaBrosse dabbles in homebrewing and cider making. She loves to travel and explore new communities in the Chicago area. She enjoys spending her downtime with her husband and 2 children.

Dr. Aref's clinical practice concentrates on cataract and glaucoma surgical therapies. Specifically, he performs trabeculectomy and glaucoma drainage implant surgery for advanced glaucomatous disease, in addition to microinvasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) for patients with mild to moderate disease. Specific MIGS options offered by Dr. Aref include trabecular microbypass stent (iStent, Glaukos Co.) implantation; ab-interno canaloplasty; gonioscopy-assisted transluminal trabeculotomy (GATT); Kahook Dual Blade (KDB, New World Medical, Inc.) goniotomy; and endolaser cyclophotocoagulation (ECP). He has a particular interest in the management of angle-closure glaucomas.In addition to glaucoma surgery, Dr. Aref also specializes in cataract and intraocular lens surgeries using the latest techniques. He offers advanced options for vision correction postoperatively, including diffractive, enhanced depth of focus, and toric intraocular lens platforms.Dr. Aref is board-certified by The American Board of Ophthalmology and The Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada. His research interests include the development of novel glaucoma surgical techniques, sustained release glaucoma medical therapies, and the improvement of glaucoma diagnosis using computerized imaging methods. Dr. Aref has authored over 60 scientific publications and book chapters and serves as an active peer reviewer for several ophthalmic medical journals. His published textbook, Advanced Glaucoma Surgery, is a valuable resource for glaucoma surgeons worldwide. He serves as a lead section editor for the Editorial Boards of the American Academy of Ophthalmology's EyeWiki and EyeNet publications.

Violet Elieff joined Arlington Eye Physicians following 30 years of management in cardiology and internal medicine practices. She has received a degree in accounting from Wright College in Chicago and furthered her education with a certificate in Medical Management. In addition to her many achievements, Mrs. Elieff sat on the board of the Chicagoland Medical Group Management Association as the president and vice president. Mrs. Elieff leads Arlington Eye Physicians with her unique experiences and compassion for patients.

Our friendly technicians are here to assist you in your eye examination. They will initiate the exam by asking you questions about your eye care history and eye care needs. They will perform certain measurements of the eye along with any additional testing deemed necessary by your doctor. Frequently they will be asked to administer medicated drops to the eyes to aid in the examination. Our technicians are here to make your visit as comfortable and efficient as possible.
