Laser Vision Correction

Patients may elect to undergo laser vision correction to reduce or eliminate the need for glasses.

Photorefractive Keratectomy (PRK)

Some patients eligible for laser vision correction undergo PRK.  This procedure removes the surface layer of the cornea and applies laser underneath to correct small degrees of hyperopia, myopia, and astigmatism.

Laser In Situ Keratomileusis (LASIK)

Many patients are candidates for LASIK surgery.  This surgery involves creation of a flap in the anterior cornea that is lifted and laser is applied to the surface beneath to correct the vision.  The flap of corneal tissue is then smoothed back into position allowing the eye to heal.  At Arlington Eye physicians we perform bladeless or “all laser” LASIK surgery using the latest technology to improve visual outcomes.
